Acceptable Use Policy
DocsAlive runs code from documentation. To keep the Service safe for everyone, you agree not to use it, or allow anyone else to use it, in the ways listed below. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Only repositories you own or control
- Submit only repositories, documentation and code that you own or control, or that the owner has authorized you to have tested.
- Don't submit repositories in order to probe, map or attack third-party systems.
- Don't submit content you don't have the right to copy and execute.
No sandbox abuse
- Don't attempt to escape, bypass or weaken the sandbox or container isolation, or gain access to our hosts, other customers' runs or our infrastructure.
- Don't run malware, exploits, ransomware or code designed to harm systems, networks or people.
- Don't mine cryptocurrency or use runs or setup commands for compute work unrelated to testing your documentation.
- Don't use the Service to send spam, run port scans, launch denial-of-service attacks or make unsolicited network requests to systems you aren't authorized to test.
- Don't deliberately exhaust resources (CPU, memory, processes, disk or network), or try to evade time, rate or usage limits.
- Don't use code snippets, error output, reports or Suggestions to exfiltrate data from the Service or store data in it.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Don't include secrets, credentials or personal data belonging to others in docs or setup commands.
- Don't process content that is illegal, or that infringes anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.
- Don't break any law, including export-control and sanctions laws.
- Don't reverse-engineer the hosted Service, except where the law permits it.
- Don't resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written agreement.
- Don't scrape the website or Service at a rate that degrades it.
- Don't misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with a project.
Security research
We welcome good-faith security research. If you believe you've found a vulnerability, email security@docsalive.com and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it. While testing:
- use only accounts and repositories you own;
- don't access, change or delete other people's data;
- don't degrade the Service for others (no denial-of-service or high-volume automated testing); and
- stop and report as soon as you gain access beyond what you expected.
If you follow these rules in good faith, we don't intend to pursue legal action against you for your research.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and remove content. We may also throttle, suspend or terminate access, immediately where needed to protect the Service or others, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Report abuse to legal@docsalive.com.
